Fort's-Eye View. The centuries old
city of Nassau in the Bahamas nestles on a hillside below historic old Fort Fincastle, erected by the first English settlers
to defend the communty from pirates and Spaniards. The big building upper center is the beautiful Royal Victoria Hotel built
during the American Civil War and still one of the finest hostelries in the world. (News
